We have long term placement opportunities available for an IT Manager available at Princess Alexandra Hospital, Harlow.

Responsibilities will cover a number of areas such as.

  • Make judgements from a range of options on how to design and implement test plans and monitor their progress.
  • Develop and adhere to stringent time schedules in order to meet Programme deadlines and to sequence activities logically.
  • Analyse and implement test quality improvement initiatives in accordance with the program wide test strategy.
  • Manage and own the overall test programme / strategy which will cross all application areas, data conversion and infrastructure readiness and resilience.
  • Integrate testing timelines and milestones into the overall project and programme plans and adjust as necessary due to project requirements.
  • Assign owners of testing areas and scripts.
  • Actively participate in on-going product development projects to ensure that appropriate knowledge is developed and maintained in order to be able to provide excellent application support.
  • Provide advice and guidance to less experienced colleagues where required.
  • Provide support and guidance to Trust users on data quality issues and ensure that where further training is required, this is logged and followed through.
  • Develop and maintain scripts to automate procedures and routine tasks.
  • Document in full the testing strategy, preparation steps and processes that the Trust will use for future testing during upgrades.
  • Ensure all test results and system defects are documented in the appropriate issues repository, to agreed standards, for future reference and tracking outstanding items.
  • The working hours for this role are Full time and are as follow :

    Monday Friday 8 : 30 17 : 00

    Do you have the following skills or Experience ?

  • Good understanding of patient flows within an acute setting.
  • Good understanding of the NHS, digital strategies, Commissioning and Data Standards. NHS Data Dictionary knowledge and experience.
  • Ability to liaise with all levels of staff and disciplines in the Organisation.
  • Ability to act on own initiative, self-motivate and prioritise workload.
  • Ability to organise and develop processes and systems to achieve high standard of performance.
  • High level of attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to work under pressure to meet targets.
  • A calm effective motivator of others.
  • Enthusiastic, helpful, and patient with system users.
  • NHS, Training and Testing Experience.
  • Advanced experience in the management of Patient Databases.
  • Good communication skills written and oral.
  • Excellent organisation skills.
  • Cambio Cosmic experience is desirable, however EPR (Electronic Patient Referral) experience is essential.
