Responsible for the creation of simple, user centred and scalable design solutions to meet the continual design requirements of the Dixons Retail eCommerce business, leading to the enhancement of end-
to-end customer journeys and the user experience of Dixons Carphone websites.
Lead the delivery of User Experience designs across the UX and Multichannel development programmes, interpreting business requirements and translating them into well thought out customer-centric solutions.
Producing recommendations to increase the performance of the website through design led alterations based upon previous experience, industry best practice and staying ahead of the latest trends and enhancements.
Work with the wider User Experience team to ensure we fulfil all of our User Experience design requirements across the programme, continuous improvement and website optimisation streams.
Lead the process of embedding User Interface guidelines across all eCommerce design teams. Manage and maintain the UI guidelines to ensure consistency across the websites.
Produce high fidelity prototypes for use in customer testing of future changes. Working closely with 3rd party Usability agencies to define the testing patterns and journeys to validate our proposals.
Ensure all designs are W3C WCAG compliant to ensure they are accessible to all customers.
Responsible for all elements of User Interface Design across the UK digital change programme.
Work with the Senior UX Manager, Senior Web Design Manager and Senior Optimisation Manager to ensure the impact of user experience and design enhancements are fully understood and communicated to the business
Working together with Front End Architects in both designing enhancements to the online customer journeys and understanding the latest technical trends and methodologies that can be applied to the Dixons Retail websites.
Work alongside the Website Optimisation Manager to support the testing, targeting and personalisation roadmap
Manage Key Stakeholders, where appropriate, by both gathering their requirements and communicating to them changes made as part of the eCommerce development roadmap.
Work collaboratively with the eCommerce Design Team, Brand, Trading and Marketing in turning project briefs into live designs and enhancements.
Create User documentation to support the enhancements delivered.
Creation and maintenance of the online UI style guide to allow consistency in design across internal and external engagements.
Support the Senior User Experience Manager in day to day activities.
Line Management of a team of UX / UI Designers.
5yrs+ experience in web design or UI design role
Experience working in an Agile / Scrum development process.
Educated to degree standard or equivalent
