About the role

As a Senior Solutions Consultant working you will be responsible in supporting the sales team in the delivery of pre-sales support for our industry leading Payroll and HR solutions.

Reporting to the Pre-Sales Director, working closely with the Sales, Service and Product Management Teams you provide discovery calls, customer facing demonstrations and presentations along with RFx authoring in support of the UK&I sales targets.

This is a field-based role which may require travel throughout the UK.

You will have a deep understanding of the pre-sales discipline including the ability to uncover business problems and present and demonstrate the solutions to provide business outcomes which solve those business problems.

You will already have experience in the Payroll and / or HR industry.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills along with a dynamic approach are essential to succeed in this role.

This role involves working to tight timescales and multi-tasking to ensure all requests are managed and completed to a high-quality standard.

Main Responsibilities

  • Demonstrate the Zellis Solutions to showcase benefits and drive value of our HCM solution to new and existing customer to overcome their business challenges
  • Gather customer requirements and then lead detailed workshops, sometimes over a period of days
  • Responsible for preparing your pre-sales environment in accordance with the demonstration requirements
  • Engaging with Product Management to stay abreast of product releases and changes and to feedback on customer needs
  • Engaging with our services organisation to understand implementation methods.
  • Engaging with our Managed Services team to understand our offerings in this space
  • Maintaining a broad knowledge of HCM and Payroll solutions, technology developments and delivery methods
  • Responsible for maintaining product knowledge, by taking new product releases and learning new functionality
  • Providing expert knowledge of the solution to the commercial department
  • Assignments will vary in size and duration and may involve working as part of a team delivering a contractual solution, providing expert client-side consultancy, mentoring, design authority project delivery or acting as a trusted advisor and / or subject matter expert to clients and internal teams alike.
  • Your relationships will run from senior management level through to project development and support teams.
  • Skills and experience

    Experience and skills

  • Industry knowledge of payroll and / or HR solutions
  • Strong presentation skills and confidence in presenting to an audience up to executive level

    Strong demonstrations skills, delivering business outcomes to solve customer problems

  • Understanding of value based selling techniques, a commercial acumen and knowledge of the sales process
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Enthusiastic with a can do’ attitude

    Ability to take on new responsibilities and develop new skills.

  • Strong team player who works well under pressure
  • Attention to detail and ability to understand and clearly articulate customer requirements
  • Can work autonomously and as part of a team
