Due to our continued growth, our UK Integrity Management office in Newcastle Upon Tyne requires a Principal Engineer to deliver corrosion related projects and provide corrosion consultancy to external customers and internal groups within ROSEN.

The role will involve working with engineers and technicians at all levels and from other disciplines within the business on commercial client projects as well as internal R&D initiatives.

Main Duties :

To define strategies for completing complex / challenging corrosion projects

To manage complex / challenging projects with multiple resources to required quality, cost and time

Carry out corrosion risk assessments for offshore and onshore pipelines

Develop corrosion control schemes and management strategies for offshore and onshore pipelines

Provide corrosion consultancy services to customers on pipelines and associated plant

Deliver technical reports to customers on programmes of work in the corrosion area

Act as a mentor and supervise the work of Senior Corrosion Engineers and Corrosion Engineers within ROSEN

Give presentations to and participate in technical meetings with customers

Provide corrosion input into failure investigations carried out by ROSEN

Contribute to business development activities in the oil and gas industry and other sectors

Author journal articles and present at industry conferences to promote ROSEN’s expertise in Corrosion Management

Required :

Minimum of Bachelor’s degree (Masters or above preferred) or equivalent in a relevant field

Proven track record of a minimum of 10 years’ experience in the oil and gas services industry, with significant experience working in the field of corrosion in refineries.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills
