A primary school in Oswaldtwistle are seeking an enthusiastic teaching assistant to work in the Year 5 class. This position is ideal for an individual looking for a full time role in the Oswaldtwistle area.
As the successful applicant, you will be responsible for taking on a range of duties including supporting lower attaining children in maths and English, leading small group interventions, managing classroom behaviour, and building relationships with pupils.
The school is larger than average primary which has a mix of white British & Asian heritage children. The children tend to arrive from challenging backgrounds and so the entry level is lower than National Average particularly for Maths, Reading and Writing.
The class teacher would be planning small group intervention sessions for you to lead three afternoons as week therefore extensive knowledge of the Year 5 curriculum would be desirable.
The Head teacher has commented that they would like to appoint a Teaching Assistant who is committed, and they would be keen to meet with suitable candidates who are interested in the role.

The role is to start mid October 2020, with a view to be until the end of the academic year. The expected working hours for this role are Monday-Friday, 8 : 45am - 15 : 15pm.
The successful candidate will interview with Head Teacher as well as spend some time in the class room with the children.
Rates of pay are competitive starting at GBP10 per hour paid into your bank account on a weekly basis.
