Hours : 36 per week
Machine Surfacing, Patching, Kerbing & Slabbing, Drainage Works, Line Marking, Sign Erection, Flood Prevention and Winter Gritting.
As Estimating & Finance Officer you will be a key member of the Roads Operations team responsible for monitoring and analysing of costs and production rates for an £11M PA turnover operational business, all with the aim of improving service efficiency and productivity.
You will be responsible for the monitoring and reporting of key work stream resources and producing robust cost estimates for works as well as monitoring and reporting on out-turn costs.
Procurement of support services through framework contracts to ensure an efficient yet robust supply chain to the service.
You will be responsible for data input and management of the departments cost capture system to ensure robust costing of works and allocation of resources and budget.
Generate budget monitoring reports to support the Operations Manager and identify and analyse areas of underperformance.
Applicants must be educated to Degree level in Civil Engineering or Quantity Surveying or have an HND and significant demonstrable experience in a similar role.
Highly skilled in Excel, knowledge of typical labour, plant, material and associated construction processes with roads construction and maintenance.
A detailed working knowledge of roads and construction specifications and methods of measurement.

Our salary range typically reflects the initial starting salary and annually increases until it reaches the top of the range.
For roles in grade 5 or above, annual increments in our contribution zones are dependent on achieving agreed performance goals.
