About the opportunity :
My client is currently looking to expand their current procurement team with the additional of a buyer with at least 5 years construction experience working either main contract or developer side.
They have recently had a senior level buyer leave the team which allows you significant room for growth if you are coming at a more junior level in terms of experience.
You will be provided structured training and guidance from the Chief Buyer as well as being given a good amount of responsibility looking after the procurement of large scale multi-
unit residential schemes. The company are well-known for promoting from within, with this regional office boasting some of the youngest management teams across the business.
About the benefits and rewards :
A basic salary of up to £55k per annum plus car allowance and benefits package.
About the requirements :
3 years’ experience with a major developer or main contractor in the role of Buyer or Assistant Buyer, managing at least 2 no.
projects in material procurement.
Experience to include; Negotiation with suppliers, Value engineering, Measuring and scheduling materials such as bricks and blocks, Preparing budgets for all materials on site.
