This is a permanent and full-time role. The successful candidate will be assisting the Projects Management Team with the design of innovative, high quality, cost effective engineering designs and safe solutions for our clients.
This role will include :
Providing innovative jacking & skidding solutions, incorporating drawings and calculations from initial planning through to completion.
Assisting in the production of risk assessments, method statements (RAMS), equipment lists, operations programs and specialist equipment requirements.
Ensuring documentation complies with all current statutory regulations, customer and company procedures.
Undertaking engineering design drawings (transport and lashing), design calculations (lashing & stability) and rigging studies.
Undertaking and assisting with project route surveys, including swept path analysis.
Liaising with client & other stakeholder engineering teams to establish technical scope of works (FEED), providing technical solutions in collaboration.
A willingness to understand Collett Heavy Lift equipment (SPMTs, jacking / lifting / skidding) the usefulness and applications of the equipment.
Time management of the company’s engineering facility. Ensuring all customer and internal project timescales are facilitated.
Experience Required :
The candidate will initially be responsible for assisting with the running of projects / commercial operations, and then develop to take responsibility and manage these functions.
They must be customer focused, have an attention to detail, be able to complete all necessary documentation, commercially astute and be suitable to work on a personal level with the client base.
Qualifications / Experience
Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering or equivalent.
Practical application of engineering principles using hand calculations, CAD and computer simulation.
Creative problem solving.
Word and Excel skills.
Good communication skills and ability to converse at all levels.
Ability to work on multiple projects at the same time.
General Office I.T skills.
Full Driving Licence.
Experience with 3D CAD systems; preferably SolidWorks (preferred, but not essential).
Ideally, some MySQL experience.
Ideally, some programming experience, preferably R.
Previous employment in an associated employment sector (preferred, but not essential)..
Flexible and willing to learn.

Being self-motivated is important, as well as being a good communicator, you will be organized and detail focused in your work.
You must have the aptitude for learning new technique / procedures and enjoy solving customer engineering requests quickly with clearly defined solutions.

Ensuring all work carried out is in line with customer requirements and any extra work needed is authorised by the customer.
You must be able to work as part of a team with colleagues and represent the Company in front of the client base.
Must be available to work away from base at short notice for short periods of time, cope with unconventional working patterns as required.
This role is based at our Goole Depot but may be required to travel between other Depots and / or clients in order to oversee or manage some percentage of the task.
Negotiable remuneration package, subject to qualifications and experience, including but not limited to : fully expensed company car, holiday purchase scheme and contributory pension.
Normal working hours are Monday to Friday, 28 days holiday per year including Bank Holidays. Overnight subsistence costs are paid when away from base, in line with our HR Policies and procedures.
The appointment will enjoy a varied work load and will have opportunity to help grow and develop their own Mechanical skills within the company in the transport, heavy lift and projects divisions, contributing to the companys development and their own prospects for promotion.
