B / E Aerospace, a wholly owned subsidiary of Collins Aerospace, is a leading manufacturer of aircraft interior products and we currently have some exciting positions based at our Leighton Buzzard facility, including a Quality Engineer.

Reporting to the Quality Team Leader, the Quality Engineer is required to perform general tasks, troubleshoot and resolve issues under allocated work priorities and daily assignments.

Key responsibilities include

  • Review and develop quality systems documentation to ensure continuing regulatory compliance.
  • Update and document Processes and Procedures ensuring common ways of working across the business
  • Coordinate the resolution of corrective actions resulting from audits and Non-Conformance Reports.
  • Support the internal audit programme to relevant standards.
  • Support the development, implementation, and maintenance the Business Management systems to meet certification requirements, the needs of customers, the business and its stakeholders.
  • Validate incoming FAI parts and paperwork
  • Support MRB meetings and actions
  • Manage non-conformance through NCR and 8d problem solving
  • Carry out internal audits across departments in accordance with relevant standards and ensure continuing compliance.
  • Provide a timely series of audit reports, with clear actions on any identified failings
  • Support auditees to ensure effective closure of audit actions
  • Support business processes and personnel in continuous improvement activities in addition to providing information concerning product and process quality performance.
  • Develop, implement and maintain quality documentation including procedures, standards, process and product specifications.
  • Manage the implementation of short term functional objectives and KPI’s.
  • Ensure all quality data is captured and analysed against targets taking action on adverse variation to standard.

  • The successful candidate will have the following

  • A Level Educated or Equivalent
  • Excellent written and communication skills.
  • Good knowledge of IT skills and software such as MS Office In particular Excel, Visio and Powerpoint
  • Good knowledge of Sharepoint
