Job Description

The Senior SDET is an inspiring automation leader who influences and supports Sage groups to break new ground, overcome challenges, and reach new levels of automation achievement.

The Senior SDET is an expert with the automation technologies, architecture and processes and can analyse, plan, coordinate and drive multiple complex automation initiatives, projects and systems to meet automation deliverables.

This individual is expected to significantly extend the depth of technology and processes across functions.#LI-NM1

Key Responsibilities

  • Drive the definition of automation architectural objectives, strategies, processes, standards and metrics and coach other disciplines so they understand how and when to add most value to a project through automation.
  • Lead in the analysis, design, development, and ongoing maintenance of complex automated tests and automation architecture for multiple products aligning with Sage current and future marketplace needs.
  • Lead automation architectural plans, scope, schedule and implementation of test and project level architecture within the automation framework.
  • This will involve communicating both internally and externally with cross functional areas impacted by automation.

  • Drive research and discovery for opportunity or improvement within automation architecture, developing and enhancing existing tools, researching and recommending tools and pushing even better practices than may be standard in the industry.
  • Design architectural concepts for the development, execution, analysis, and presentation of performance / benchmark, load, and scalability testing based on product requirements.
  • Lead tooling solutions for both test and development teams

  • Expert in automated testing tools, architecture / frameworks, techniques, coding languages and methodologies with the complementary ability to drive change within the organization using these solutions and some that are new to the industry whilst balancing the organisation's need for stability and change.
  • Ability to create alignment broadly across the organization and empowers others to make decisions, while building and managing broad participation in the decision process
  • Experience in working alongside Development Leads to advise on how to make our products more testable and in coordinating architectural efforts across automation projects using reliable and maintainable processes
  • Experience with providing creative solutions to group problems regarding existing architecture, projects, and methodologies Technica know how : Must Have
  • Java / C# or any other modern language
  • Selenium Webdriver / Cucumber
  • GIT / SVN
  • Understanding of test automation patterns Preferred :
  • Appium / Protractor
