The RNLI has a network of local fundraising branches organising a wide range of activities and events which last year raised £14 million to save lives at sea.
Each branch and guild is supported by a Community Fundraising Manager although the range and frequency of fundraising events is determined by the branch members themselves.
Becoming part of your local fundraising branch could offer you an opportunity to improve your CV, meet new people and learn new skills.
Some of our branch members have been volunteering for many years, some just join us for a few months whatever their commitments allow.
We are currently looking for motivated people to join our local fundraising branches and we have a specific vacancy detailed below :
Are you a whiz with figures? Do you love completing spreadsheets and enjoy balancing the accounts? Can you make figures tell a story?
If so we have a role for you.
The role of branch treasurer is responsible for ensuring our fundraising branches comply with financial procedures and the recording of income / expenditure of fundraising events and activities.
If you have an eye for detail, enjoy record keeping and have / or would like to gain financial accounting experience then this role is for you.
Experience is not essential as full training will be provided.
This is a great opportunity to really make a difference by raising vital funds for our volunteer crew members and lifeguards.
This is a volunteer opportunity within the RNLI. RNLI volunteers are people who, unpaid and of their own free will, contribute their time, energy and skills to support the purposes of the RNLI.
RNLI volunteers may perform a variety of tasks and duties, under direction and guidance, using their skills, knowledge and time to help the RNLI best achieve its objectives.
