SR Timber (part of SIG Plc) is a leading supplier of specialist timber construction material in the UK, with decades of experience in producing, supplying and installing timber products according to BS 5534.

This background in the industry means our knowledgeable staff have an expert understanding of the whole market and know what our customers need a guaranteed supply of high quality timber materials.

We are currently looking to recruit an Administrator to join the team at SR Timber . You’ll need to be organised, motivated and able to communicate well with others.

What does the role involve?

As Administrator , initially, there will be lots of data inputting, but you’ll also be required to assist with general enquiries and customer queries along with answering incoming calls.

A good manner both face to face and over the phone is essential for this role, as will being able to work as part of a team.

Having the ability to build good relationships will be a large part of this role as you will liaise with our sales; warehouse and transport teams to ensure orders are processed and delivered on time to satisfy customer requirements.

You will also be required to process sales, quotes and purchase orders.

The successful candidate will require :

  • Good computer skills, especially Excel and if you’ve used K8, that’s even better
  • Experience in data inputting with excellent accuracy
  • Great communication skills, with the ability to communicate with customers and internal colleagues
  • The ability to build relationships and work as part of a team
  • Self-motivation and the ability to prioritise work to meet deadlines
