  • Information Services Division provides financial markets fast, reliable and accurate information across many different service lines, FTSE, Russell, Yieldbook, Mergent, Real Time, RNS and Sedol.
  • A Global Sales team is responsible for selling these products to Clients.

  • The Strategic Sales Planning function is a critically important one and has a number of key objectives :
  • o Be the cross regional and cross business focus point to support the sales function, in applying consistency of process and global coordination.

    o Enable the Global Head of Sales Marketing and Client Engagement to work most effectively by providing key management information.

    o Provide insight to areas of revenue issue, and provide options to support resolution to those issues

    o Deliver on key projects and strategic initiatives, including integrations within the Information Services (ISD) Sales function.

    A summary duties the role has responsibility for are included below :

  • managing the sales planning function of ISD
  • Manage the Annual budget planning process with Finance
  • Be the lead sales planning interface for the Americas region
  • Be the lead sales planning interface for the Index vertical
  • managing the planning and allocation of global sales targets for Information Services - including revenue synergies from acquisitions.
  • providing a point of support for the Global Sales team for queries and issues.
  • providing business case support on pre acquisition negotiations.
  • managing the integration of sales teams post acquisition.
  • acting as the key interface for the function to all internal department, Finance HR, Legal, Strategy, Corporate Finance.
  • Providing Programme Support to the Group Relationship Programme to deliver group synergies in revenue, and client satisfaction.
  • Own and maintain the Sales Marketing and Client Engagement Business Continuity plan.
  • A bachelor’s degree or equivalent business experience is required for this role.
  • The role is a strategic and facilitative one that requires a combination of focus and flexibility, the role requires a resourceful individual with strong emotional intelligence, self-motivation, and strong analytical skills.
  • Applicant should have significant business experience,
  • Applicant must be able to work well within a team and communicate effectively to share their findings with others.
  • Understanding of the importance of Data and data quality
  • Applicant must be a driven self-starter with a can do attitude who can work collaboratively for the greater good of the sales function and the business as a whole
  • Collaboration with other departments is key in this role, specifically Sales and Finance
  • Strong analytical skills utilising Excel to gain insights to provide strategic recommendations
  • Flexible and is willing to perform varying duties depending on the shifting needs of the company and its staff members
  • Consider the global impact of any process and procedural issues
  • Coordinate a number of projects or commitments simultaneously and ensuring alignment among the often disparate stakeholders
  • Participates in strategic initiatives by leading them and reporting results back to the Director - Global Head of Sales Planning and Operations.
