This role sits within UKI Technology - Automation and Process Deployment (A&PD). The A&PD vision is to seed innovation, optimization and automation enabling the highest possible Technology Delivery quality and productivity at the lowest possible cost.

We are focused on designing optimised client and market-relevant application and infrastructure outsourcing solutions, mobilising projects from day one to enable successful service delivery.

As Project Based resources, A&PD team members provide specialised outsourcing business development and service delivery and transformational expertise to support our Clients.

People in this workgroup may work on short- to medium-term assignments from 4 weeks up to 18 months and are assigned depending on their capabilities, specialisation, and their availability to meet the project’s timeline requirements.

    Key Responsibilities

    Start up Managers are responsible for working across Accenture and its clients to ensure that the necessary process and procedures, resources, and technology are installed and working for Accenture to be able to start delivering a new application and / or infrastructure outsource engagement.

    Individuals working within start up will be responsible for leading or participating in the delivery of part or all of a service start up including :

  • Development of transition plans and estimates including resource plans
  • Development of relationships with key client stakeholders to facilitate transition
  • Management of individual work streams or entire Transition projects to deliver outsourced operations
  • Establishment of the Service Model and Service Management Framework, including service management processes, tools and reporting
  • Establishment of Accenture Operating Model and operating framework, including the definition of unit organisational structure, operating model and governance
  • Facilitating the establishment of operational and logistical requirements, including office facilities networking and facilities, systems and environment access required for the run of the outsource operations teams for the transfer of processes, procedures, and knowledge
  • Management of communications between Accenture, client, and incumbent transition teams
  • We are looking for experience in the following skills :

    Candidates should be able to demonstrate some or all of the following skills and capabilities :

  • Experience of managing Application and / or Infrastructure Outsourcing transitions or the Delivery of Change or Transformation Projects demonstrated through past roles and achievements
  • Strong understanding of service management processes and framework, based on standards such as ITIL or from experiencing with working with a formal service management framework
  • Strong understanding of applications outsourcing operations or arrangements and the process for the delivery of AO services
  • Strong understanding of infrastructure outsourcing operations or arrangements and the process for the delivery of IO services
  • Possess understanding of the contractual and commercial arrangements for outsource arrangements
  • Third party relationship management, including experiencing of managing clients or contractors
  • Project planning and management skills, including estimating and cost management, demonstrated through past roles and achievements
  • Strong communication and people management skills, demonstrated through past roles and achievements
  • Understanding of working in complex situations which may have significant scope and risk ambiguity and geographical diversity
  • Possess commercial acumen grounded in practicality, experience in financial management and delivery to budgets
  • Capability and resilience to cope with change
  • Willingness to work in a project-based group located with the client across the UK and Europe
