Overview :

You’ll be joining the Non-Financial Risk Management (NFRM) team, which focus is the risk of loss resulting from inadequate or failed internal processes, people behaviour, systems, or external events.

NFRM includes the risk of reputational damage, but excludes business and strategy risk. The risk governance framework at Deutsche Bank is designed according to a Three Lines of Defence (3LoD) operating model in order to ensure clear accountabilities for a comprehensive, but non-

duplicative, coverage of all risk management activities across Deutsche Bank.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Assisting in the implementation of a standard operating model for the team for 2018 and beyond.
  • Undertaking Risk Reviews of the design and operating effectiveness of the Information Technology (IT) Control framework
  • Providing specialist analysis and risk management oversight of technology operations
  • Investigating risk threshold breaches and near misses while preparing regular reviews of the exposure
  • Identifying relevant risk mitigation actions when exposures are in excess of appetite, providing independent challenge to the Business and escalating where appropriate
  • Supporting the execution of IT Risk challenge activities
  • Developing, and publicating of, risk metrics in order to monitor risk and control-related developments, issues and trends
  • Assessing, through inspection, observation, or re-performance whether controls are designed and implemented effectively so as to verify that risks are mitigated to targeted levels
  • Maintaining and / or overseeing relevant policies and procedures related to technology processes executed by 1st Line of Defence
  • Developing relationships with key stakeholders across the Business and Infrastructure functions
  • Skills & Qualifications :

  • Related experience in financial or a consultancy firm is beneficial
  • IT related experience or Risk Management within IT is beneficial
  • Demonstrable Operational / NFRM skills
  • Experience of working in major projects in large financial institution
  • Demonstrable success managing and operating in a matrix environment that encompasses functional and geographical diversity
