The Role

We are looking to for an IT Service Continuity Plan Analyst; it is an exciting time to join the department which is expanding and you will have the opportunity to help shape the capability and contribute to the success of the team.

The purpose of the role is to develop, embed, implement and evaluate IT Service Continuity delivery on behalf of Group IT.

Influence, drive, and advise internal and external stakeholders on IT Service Continuity aspects across the IT service lifecycle, to ensure IT service is appropriately prepared for any Service Continuity events.

Job Specification

Identify, propose and influence the delivery of appropriate controls to embed IT Service Continuity best practice and support the improvement of the IT Service Continuity culture.

  • Drive and coordinate the development and implementation of IT Service Continuity improvement plans that are aligned with the industry best practice, in collaboration with business stakeholders;
  • to ensure plans and their execution address continuity risks and maintain and recover service in line with agreed business tolerance parameters.

    Provide IT Service Continuity subject matter expertise within the IT Department, Consult and advise IT stakeholders on the use and application of existing IT Service Continuity standards and frameworks to enhance the stakeholder knowledge around IT Service Continuity and minimise the impact of any Business Continuity event.

    Assess and coordinate any revisions to existing Disaster Recovery / Business Continuity plans and associated procedures arising from annual reviews, critical incidents and events to minimise the consequences from any future incident.

    Identify and evaluate IT Service Continuity risks and incidents against the accepted Group risk framework, providing input to any remedial action and the implementation of the agreed actions.

    Deliver short term / one-off projects and activities as required by and to the standards and outcomes agreed with Line Manager.

    Person Specification

  • Significant knowledge of IT Infrastructure and Data Centres is essential.
  • Experience of successfully delivering a range of large / complex projects and activities.
  • Experience of building and managing effective relationships at a senior level.
  • Demonstrable experience of influencing key stakeholders and / or matrix management.
  • Significant knowledge of IT Service Continuity and Disaster Recovery is essential.
  • Experience of working in a regulated industry

    Qualifications

    Relevant IT professional or academic qualification at degree level or equivalent.
