Our Financial Transformation practice is a priority area for significant and strategic growth and the team works with leading Investment and Retail Banks, focusing on understanding the core issues and opportunities, in order to deliver value-adding change across their Finance & Risk functions.
The key drivers of change for our Banking and Insurance clients are regulatory reform, cost reduction and Finance optimisation and our service offerings reflect this demand.
Successful candidates should have excellent Banking Industry experience, and in particular in-depth knowledge of their Finance function.
They should also be able to demonstrate the following :
Mobilising and leading major and complex Financial Planning and Performance Management projects / programmes, with accountability for the successful delivery of Client outcomes
Ability to manage cross-functional global engagement teams, both internally within KPMG, and external Client teams, across all strata of the organisation
Leading development of EPM Client solutions and propositions, including embedding these within technology applications
Analyse business drivers of Financial Services firms to enable the design of fit for purpose Client solutions
Design of multi-dimensional planning models
Ownership and review of analysis and reports delivered to Clients
Oversight and input into the development of technical solutions delivered to the Client
The candidate will need to build and leverage both internal and external relationships to support Partners and Directors in driving business development and sales activities
Leading the EPM Planning and Performance Management capability function and providing steer / input into Client proposals
Lead the pursuit of business development opportunities that exist within EPM, including delivery of Client workshops on Planning and Performance Management
Leading the development of processes and initiatives that are key to scaling the business
Perform a lead role in forming internally generated solutions that are developed by the EPM capability
Lead, and form teams to support, the development of initiatives that grow and promote the EPM practice internally and externally
Manage the FS EPM practice and programme initiatives
Assist with goal development and coaching of staff to enable the growth of the junior management team within the FS FT practice
Support the development of junior team members through formal EPM training as well as informal coaching & mentoring
Experience of analysis Strategic and business drivers of Financial Services, specifically Banking
Experience in modelling a banking organisation’s P&L and Balance sheet
Functional experience of cost allocations and benefits tracking principles in a banking value chain
Functional experience with FP&A tools like BOARD, Anaplan, Jedox, SAP SAC, TM1, Oracle EPM, or similar
Broad knowledge of the Finance function and Finance operating models
Strong people manager who is able to lead large teams and develop / coach others
Experience of working on Client sales team and developing strong Client relationships
Experience working with and influencing senior stakeholders
Programme and project management experience
Strong analytical and numerical skills
Ability to create and deliver high level presentations and output reviews to senior executives / stakeholders and business managers
Ability to review and challenge information that has been provided by other team members, ensuring the information is fit for purpose’ and at the right level of granularity
Additional skills and experience (preferred)
Accountancy qualification with strong post qualification experience (or equivalent experience)
Successful Candidates Should Have Experience in One Or More of The Following Areas
Extensive experience in developing, selling and delivering Enterprise Performance Management solutions for global FS Clients in a multi-disciplinary environment, including Planning, Budgeting & Forecasting, Financial Performance Reporting and Multi-dimensional Profitability Analytics
Experience in leading large Enterprise Performance Management programmes for FS Clients. This would ideally cover Design, Deployment and Client handover to ensure alignment with BaU FP&A cycles
