Summary of Responsibilities :
Reporting to the Assistant Front Office Manager, responsibilities and essential job functions include but are not limited to the following :
Consistently offer professional, friendly and engaging service
To handle guest requests inquiries and complaints in a pleasant, professional and accommodating manner
To lead and supervise the Front Office team in all aspects of the department and ensure service standards are followed
To be responsible for identifying any training needs of Reception staff
Ensure that there is adequate coverage in the Front Hall and at the Reception at all times
Manage room inventory and allocations during the day to ensure the Perfect Arrival
Deal with group arrivals, site rooms, room moves and ensure seamless communication of these with the relevant departments
Drive rate with encouraging colleagues in up-selling room brands
Follow department policies, procedures and service standards
Follow all safety policies
Other duties as assigned by the AFOM team
Proficiency in English (verbal and written), second language an asset
Previous customer related experience preferred
Computer literate in Opera and Microsoft Window applications an asset
Strong interpersonal skills and problem solving ability
Highly responsible & reliable
Ability to work well under pressure in a fast paced environment
Ability to work cohesively with fellow colleagues as part of a team
Ability to focus attention on guest needs, remaining calm and courteous at all times
Physical Aspects of Position (include but are not limited to) :
Frequent standing and walking throughout shift
Occasional kneeling, pushing, pulling, lifting
Occasional ascending or descending ladders, stairs and ramps
Visa Requirements : Must be legally eligible to work in the UK. The hotel is unable to assist candidates in obtaining UK work authorization.
