About the role

A great opportunity for a customer service focussed Field Service Co-ordinator to become a key part of our friendly and supportive team.

You’ll help manage the deployment of over 1,000 engineers, engaging with departments across the business to ensure work is reviewed and resourced on a 90-day lead time.

You’ll be appointing both internal and third-party engineering teams to projects. The ideal candidate will thrive in a fast-paced customer service environment.

You’ll also be resourceful, diplomatic, have an excellent telephone manner and be good with people. You’ll enjoy logistical problem-solving and detailed planning and will have the ability to interpret data then present it in a clear way to others.

Our engineers visit a wide variety of customer sites, from FTSE 100 corporations and government departments, right though to new start-ups, so this role is critical in helping us maintain our high customer service standards.

You’ll have the following responsibilities

  • You’ll be a team player, able to work closely with our Regional Delivery Partners to manage efficient engineer allocation and deliver excellent customer service.
  • We’ll also ask you to use your planning skills and methodical mindset to create resource deployment plans that maximise efficiency, profitability, and ensure our business commitments are met.
  • You’ll be a natural problem-solver and will monitor then address gaps that develop between customer demand and engineer capacity.
  • You’ll use your diplomacy, skill and judgement to manage customer problems and solve them efficiently and quickly.
  • You’ll analyse any system refusals or failures that arise and collaborate with Line Managers to resolve any resource implications.
  • You’ll also be responsible for managing all absence leave requests. This will include planning in annual leave, bulk absences, Christmas Schedules and roster swaps.
  • You may on occasion need to handle leave requests from engineer colleagues who are dealing with difficult personal circumstances.
  • You’ll have the compassion and maturity to handle these sensitively.

  • We’ll ask you to give plenty of feedback on the way we work so we can continue to improve our systems to the benefit of both customers and colleagues.
  • You’ll have the following skills & experience

  • Customer service focussed with good problem-solving skills
  • Relishes the opportunity to solve problems and improve systems
  • Socially adept and good with people, with an excellent telephone manner
  • Good verbal and written skills
  • Experience using Microsoft Office suite is essential
