An exciting opportunity has arisen with the Integrated Care Team for an Admin Officer within the District Nursing service, you will be team player, who is highly motivated, able work on own initiative with excellent communication skills.

You will be the first point of call for patient’s city wide that have been referred to the service.

As well as accepting and processing referrals via SystmOne, scheduling the visit workload and ordering equipment for patients, you will also provide administrative support to the Community Nursing staff and be able to confidently liaise with professional staff members from across the Trust.

The District Nurse service operates 7 days per week, 365 days a year.

The post holder will be instrumental in working within the wider clinical and admin team to deliver the day-to-day operation and development of the service .

The post is based at Lightwood House in the S8 area of Sheffield. You may be required to travel to other bases across the city.

The working hours for this post are 30 hours, specific days to be agreed.

About Us

The Integrated Care Team consists of District Nursing Services and Community Therapy. These services work with patients to reduce hospital admissions and engage in rehabilitation within their own homes 365 days a year.

Who we are looking for

The service is looking for someone who can demonstrate effective communication both verbal and written, has a friendly and professional telephone manner and can adopt a flexible approach to working.

The successful applicant must be able to work unsupervised, independently and also as part of a team.
