Are you a passionate communicator? Do you think you could spearhead the delivery of the BHF’s lab visit programme? We are looking for a Research Engagement Officer to join us and play a key role in managing our engagement programme and supporting events, organising our lab visits for staff, volunteers and supporters.
The BHF is the nation’s heart charity and the UK’s biggest funder of research into heart and circulatory diseases. With an active research portfolio of around £440m, the Research Engagement Officer plays a vital role in bringing this life saving work to life in engaging ways to all of our audiences.
About the role You will deliver, streamline and evaluate our engagement programme, reporting back to the BHF’s senior leadership group, and will be responsible for investigating new ways of bringing the work that happens in our labs to life, ensuring this work is properly evaluated.
BHF-funded researchers, the public, and our staff and volunteers. This includes managing internal events and communications to staff about BHF research, inviting BHF researchers to support our activities and campaigns, and running public engagement events that inspire greater support for our work.
About you With a background in biological or medical sciences, you'll have a keen interest and be passionate about research in this area.
To be successful in this role you’ll be :
Responsible for developing physical and digital resources to help colleagues across the organisation talk authentically about our research, you will help to manage the channels we use to keep our community of BHF-
