We currently have an exciting opportunity for a professional to work as part of the L&D team, reporting to the L&D Manager to deliver the JM Scotland L&D plan and business objectives.

Key responsibilities

  • Continually conduct training needs analysis to design and deliver the necessary and relevant training solutions, paying attention to classroom delivery and on the job workplace training particularly around process operations.
  • Work with members of L&D team and SME on the competency management for process operations for the sites.
  • Work with SME across site to identify, design and deliver appropriate training to ensure compliance with regulatory bodies and Environmental Health & Safety including COMAH.
  • To construct, implement and continually develop Learning and Development programmes, processes and procedures focusing on core and process specific training.
  • Ensure all actions from incidents / accidents / deviations / quality issues are incorporated into training programmes, in line with cGMP and EHS competencies.
  • To identify gaps in current training and create, develop and deliver training across JM Scotland sites.
  • When required deliver training initiatives using accelerated learning and blended learning methods appropriate to the subject and target audience.
  • Manage Learning and Development programs to achieve completion within the required timeframes, considering the requirements and needs of other departments.
  • Including on-going programmes of training with associated refresher periods to ensure compliance.

  • Contribute to departmental and cross departmental projects in relation to learning and development activities as agreed with the Learning and Development Manager.
  • This may include continuous improvement projects, the introduction of new training tools and plant equipment.

  • Provide a comprehensive induction service to new members of staff and contract workers.
  • Along with all members of the L&D team perform L&D related administration tasks
  • To establish, maintain and monitor established KPI’s and develop and measure KPI’s related to Learning and Development activities
  • Support and aid line managers to identify appropriate Learning and Development initiatives to meet individuals’ needs and objectives.

  • Experience in a Learning & Development or training role - CIPD Qualification or relevant experience
  • Experience of working in a cGMP environment - Desired
  • Environment, Health & Safety training delivery experience
  • Experience of working in Chemical / Pharma / Manufacturing industry
  • Experience of working with Learning Management systems
  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office / 365 / SharePoint / training material creation
