Role overview

We are currently recruiting a Procurement Assistant to join our Procurement team on a minimum of a 18 Month fixed term contract in our Stowmarket office.

The Procurement Assistant will On-board all new suppliers and sub-contractors and manage compliance activity and reporting

  • You will;
  • Co-ordinate all new supplier and sub-contractor requests from the business
  • Issue all PQQ packs to the supply chain
  • Follow FP approval process through each stage
  • Liaise with commercial managers to ensure enough contract cover is in place for approval
  • Activate accounts when full process has been met
  • Manage all compliance documents for the above and chase updates
  • Issue and review desktop audits
  • Issue and verify GDPR audits
  • Manage IR35 assessments
  • Produce monthly reporting on all above activity
  • General ad hoc support for Procurement Manager
  • Requirements

  • You will have;
  • Experience with Sub-Contractors approvals - Desirable
  • Able to demonstrate ability to liaise and maintain good relationships with supply chain and internal customers
  • Able to demonstrate good organisational and time management skills.
  • Able to work proactively, accurately and methodically under pressure and to strict deadlines.
  • Good communication skills
  • Excellent telephone manner / customer service skills
  • Good IT skills and able to demonstrate experience
