We are looking for a pro-active and organised Paralegal to join our team. This is the opportunity to play a vital role within our experienced legal team and develop in-

depth knowledge of the equity crowdfunding industry in one of the UK's leading FinTech startups.

    What you will be doing :

    As Paralegal at Crowdcube you will have the opportunity to work on a range of corporate transactions, commercial contracts and compliance matters.

    The ideal candidate will have a key role in the management all of transactions and legal documentation for the team, take responsibility for their own workload and support the rest of the team where required.

    We are looking for a candidate with who is highly organised, methodical and keen to gain knowledge of the many facets of company finance.

    The role will be varied and will include among other things :

  • Conducting due diligence on Companies raising on Crowdcube
  • Preparing reports and legal documents in conjunction with legal team
  • Assisting with follow on transactions involving Companies that have raised on Crowdcube
  • Co-ordinating and managing the legal team’s workflow
  • Assisting with Crowdcube corporate and general legal matters
  • Legal research and training
  • Requirements

    To be an ideal candidate for this role, you will have :

  • A law degree, or recent experience within a corporate / business law environment
  • Experience working with legal documentation
  • Experience handling multiple transactions and / or varied workload
  • Good mathematical and excel skills are preferable
  • Any understanding of Crowdfunding is advantageous
  • Knowledge or awareness of SEIS and EIS tax schemes will be an advantage
  • And you demonstrate the following :

  • Enthusiasm and a desire to learn and develop legal skills in an exciting, fast-paced environment
  • Good eye for detail
  • Excellent communication skills & a team player!
