Why this role matters
This role is key to the Media & Broadcast team, supporting, developing and managing in life a portfolio of products. You will be responsible for all aspects of product development, ensuring quality and consistency of the customer’s product experience.
You are responsible for identifying opportunities to maximise new and incremental revenue streams and making recommendations on how to improve the products.
What you'll be doing
Influencing stakeholders to build a strategy for their designated products
Creating roadmaps with our partners to ensure optimum support for BT requirements and product strategy
Ensuring all planning identifies customer and market needs, trends and opportunities, customer experience, pricing, segmentation and device requirements
Ensuring that products are, where appropriate, differentiated from the competition, aligned to the wider Ventures goals and that the resulting plans deliver commercial success
Taking ownership of key operational responsibilities relating to the product portfolio and pro-actively managing products throughout their lifecycle ensuring they support their financial and non-financial targets
Defining performance data requirements, analysing and interpreting performance data for products and acting to drive improvements in product performance
Ensuring customer experience, customer feedback, quality of service and the competitive position of products are appropriately monitored
Acting as an advocate for the products and champion for the customer, ensuring that internal stakeholders are aware of their benefits and that appropriate development resource is allocated to them
Leading development and delivery of new product and service capabilities in line with marketing strategy; product development with technical teams and / or managed service partners;
product launch and evaluation with operational teams
Gathering and developing detailed requirements, new features, capabilities and specifications based on stakeholder input and customer inputs

Experience in a product management role and preferably from a Media & Broadcast background
Strong customer focus with ability to describe what makes a good customer experience
Technical mind-set, ability to contribute to design discussions and challenge technology assumptions where required
Commercial acumen and appreciation of market opportunities
Demonstrable business maturity and sound interpersonal skills
