We have an excellent opportunity for a Relief Support Worker in our Supported Living service, Rushmere, Ipswich.
Number of Shifts available will include hours and different shift patterns worked between 07 : 00 21 : 30. Shifts tend to be 7 / 7 : 30 - 15 : 00 or 14 : 30 / 15 : 00 - 21 : 30.
There may be a need for a maximum of one split shift per week. Plus, very occasional sleep ins when required, which is 22 : 30 07 : 00.
However, if you are not able to a sleep-in shift then please pop this on your application - you will still be considered for the role.
You will receive an enhanced flat rate payment of £60.00 for any sleep in shifts carried out. The payment for sleep ins is non-contractual.
We are currently in the process of reviewing our salaries. The salary for this role will be increased to a minimum of £10.
33 per hour (a full time annual salary of £20,144) with effect from 1 August 2022.
A driver is desirable however a non-driver may be considered if you are willing to support people on public transport.
About our Service
Beech Road is a 24 hour Supported Living Service located five minutes from Ipswich hospital. We currently support four ladies and two gentleman within this service.
We have a very full & fun social life, enjoying trips out to the shops, walking, swimming, bowling, social groups and events, farms, and visiting friends and family, pubs and eating out, movies at home and various games.
We provide support with daily living tasks which could involved anything from just a chat and wellbeing checks through to support with personal care, shopping, household cleaning, cooking, finances and administering medication.
Full training and shadow shifts will be provided.

As a Relief Support Worker you will be expected to provide an outstanding level of support that will enormously contribute to the people we support, living a more comfortable, dignified, liberated and happy life.
Not all Support Worker roles include high levels of personal care.
