Finance Assistant

Competitive salary - full time, permanent position

Quadrise is the world's leading oil-in-water emulsion fuel technology provider. Our technology provides a low carbon, environmentally friendly alternative to HFO and biofuels, and solves key environmental problems including Black Soot, NOx and SOx.

We are now recruiting a Finance Assistant who is looking for a career within the energy sector as the Company looks ahead to the next stage of its growth.

In this role you will benefit from developing skills in a broad range of areas, making this an ideal opportunity for those wishing to work towards an accredited accounting qualification.

This is a broad generalist finance role and your principal responsibilities will be working across AP and AR, Fixed Assets and project accounting.

As a brief overview the role will include :

  • Reviewing our finance inbox and obtaining invoices from supplier emails.
  • Obtaining authorisations and coding, using Excel to enable upload to GL.
  • Supplier management.
  • Maintaining invoice filing / database and processing on Microsoft Teams.
  • Raising POs for the operations team.
  • Preparation of banking import spreadsheet in Excel, ensuring items correctly coded and labelled to allow upload into GL.
  • Assisting with the fixed asset register by ensuring invoices coded to fixed assets correctly.
  • Initial preparation of expense reports and distribution to team.
  • Creating reports.
  • Support with ad hoc work for the office / project team
  • About you

    We are looking for individuals who are passionate about environmental issues and confident of their ability to work effectively as part of a small team.

    You will be a graduate with at least 2 years in a finance role. We are also willing to consider applicants who are qualified by experience but you will need to have a progressive and related working history.

    Requirements include :

  • Strong academic background, ideally working towards a professional qualification.
  • Interested in environmental issues.
  • Experience gained within a generalist finance role ideally 2 years.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word and Teams.
  • Experience using Sun Systems is desirable.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality with access to sensitive information.
  • A confident self-starter with good interpersonal skills.
  • The ability to develop and build strong relationships across all levels.
  • Competitive remuneration is offered along with 8% company pension, discretionary bonus depending on personal and company objectives and private health cover.

    You will be based in our London Waterloo office - we offer some flexibility with the option of working three days a week with the other 2 days working from home.
