What you’ll do :
Lead the design and development of our AWS-based cloud infrastructure, defined as Terraform code
Groom the service technology roadmap, balancing priorities from feature development, performance, maintenance, cost efficiencies, measurement and reporting, monitoring and alerting
Organise and guide the cloud infrastructure team, oversee task assignments and organise out-of-hours cover
Maintain compliance with legal and regulatory requirements, as well as alignment with group policies and technologies
Help develop a cloud computing strategy for our customer-facing applications and services to support delivery of the business goals and policies
Establish a service operations and support function to meet target costs, service levels and KPIs for cloud and service infrastructure
Wha t y ou’ll bring :
Expert, hands-on knowledge of cloud computing services and infrastructure, in particular AWS technologies and Terraform
Extensive experience building and working with distributed systems : scaling, fault-tolerance, load-balancing, networking, security etc.
Commercial awareness, in particular of estimation and calculation of cloud infrastructure costs and the optimisation of solutions to improve cost-efficiency
A background in regulated transactional platforms and / or smart home technologies (IoT) would be beneficial
A strong, collaborative DevSecOps approach; setting high standards for the team, striving for continuous improvement and leading by example
