EP Engineering Director Responsibilities :
Responsible for managing the EP Engineering organization. The Engineering Leader will be responsible for the technical solution working with Global Engineering teams, marketing, product management & business teams.
Will be responsible for developing the connected offering strategy along with marketing and developing the connected solution.
Will be responsible for ensuring execution excellence in teams encompassing the processes, continuous improvements, end customer satisfaction, and capability building in the team.
This person shall be responsible for the overall selection, training and retention of the team members by directing the first level leaders effectively.
Facilitating the coordination and communication among the global engineering teams. Forming and leading multiple, concurrent product development teams while maintaining a sense of urgency.
Responsible for fueling and enabling EP business growth along with respective General Manager and leadership. Work with VP-
GM and product marketing of multiple product lines to understand global growth objectives and enable the same through support across NPI / VPD processes.
Responsible for develop & deliver the NPI offerings for EP global business. Make / buy decisions to realize the above technical solutions to solve customers’ business problems.
Impact the EP STRAP and AOP in terms of planning and execution. Ownership of NPI / Localization and strong support in defrilling / VE, Pre / Post Sales, Customer hosting & Training.
Drive Innovation to create a healthy idea pipeline for the EP businesses. Manage and lead the product development and provide technical leadership to deliver NPI meeting business expectations.
Enable and participate in OVOC (Voice of customers) to understand customer needs and pain points to drive the best Value to our customers through conceptualizing and delivering world class offerings.
Gain close working relationship with regional business teams (GM / Marketing / Sales). Connected to the industry and able to impact some of industry decisions based on Honeywell EP strategy.
Able to take decisions based on understanding of current and future trends in the industry and feed into strategies of EP Global businesses.
Basic Qualifications & Skills : Bachelor / Masters degree in Engineering Electrical / Electronics / computer science engineering.
Experience in Engineering project leadership and product design experience developing novel hardware and software solutions.
Experience in developing creative and novel solutions to deliver new products that meet global standards. Experienced technical manager with proven human resource management skills.
Proven track record of managing complex programs successfully which have major business impact. Excellent focus on execution, should ensure responsiveness to customers, team and management.
Strong Engineering background with a solid understanding of project execution for complex Hardware and Software development.
Good leadership and managerial skills including coaching and mentoring of newly created teams Excellent interpersonal skills required to negotiate priority in a matrix organization and to work across business boundaries Excellent written and oral communication skills for communication to senior management and cross functional team members.
Must be a self starter, achieving great results with minimum supervision
