Network Support Manager

Location : Ipswich or London

You'll be responsible and operate services for our special bespoke customers. Personally build, lead and manage an exceptionally motivated Service Operations Support Team, and bring together the best networks and technology, with the expertise of our people, making connections, creating new possibilities and developing special services that our customers value.

What you'll be doing

Support the Group Engineering Services organisation by operating internal and customer networks, platforms and systems in support of ourselves and special customers.

Deliver and operate these services within agreed performance standards and contractual agreements whilst operating within agreed timescales and budgets.

Additionally provide input into Service Design and Service Transitions using skillsets where applicable.

You’ll be :

  • Service Delivery & Transition A GES Service Management team that supports the overall BT GES, BT Security and Global Services strategy
  • Improving customer experience By delivering repair, provision and service availability performance, continually improving and supporting the delivery of great Net Promoter Score outcomes
  • Working within Service Operations to ensure that budgets are built year on year based on understanding improvements and forecasting business expectations.
  • Profitability - Deliver and operate within service budgets (manpower, materials and circuits) and work tirelessly to deliver highly efficient services which meet our customer needs and maintain a highly utilised team
  • THE SKILLS & EXPERIENCE YOU NEED

  • Managerial Experience within the IT Industry
  • To form part of an out of hours on call rota

    ITIL Foundation V3 qualified. Ideally ITIL Service Operations and ITIL Service Transition

    Degree Educated or equivalent Industry experience

    Working knowledge of networking and VLANS

    Working towards or has gained Cisco CCNA or above

    Comfortable with the configuration and support of monitoring systems (solarwinds preferable)

    Stakeholder management

    We'll also need to see these on your CV

    Knowledge of VMware administration and support.

    Windows OS domain knowledge

    SIEM Solutions

    Due to the nature of the work our team undertakes, you’ll need to be security cleared at DV level to be able to join us.
