What will you be doing?
Ensuring all client portfolios (discretionary and funds) are managed in line with our risk commitments along with regulatory requirements,
Ensure that an effective system of control, escalation and reporting is in place to oversee the day to day risk management activity,
Working collaboratively with the business towards the development, enhancement, review and approval of metrics and risk systems,
Provide reassurance and formal reporting in relation to all investment risk management activity to senior stakeholders,
Working to directly support the CRO as required to assist them is discharging their responsibilities across all risk areas,
Take responsibility for the oversight of the implementation and work to further enhancement the Investments Risk Framework (IRF),
Develop more formal control and oversight capability for the team to ensure the efficacy of delegated risk management activity.
What we’re looking for :
Significant investment experience preferably with a focus on risk modelling or management,
Understanding of risk measurement and application of control processes to manage standard measures of market , credit and liquidity risks,
Knowledge of multi asset class investing including fund of funds and an understanding of standard asset allocation approaches,
High level appreciation of risk models and their shortcomings through practical application of standard third party implementations.
Skills that will help you in the role :
Post graduate qualification in a quantitative subject or equivalent demonstrable quantative capability,
Extensive direct investment risk management experience,
Experience of interpretation, coding and running pre and post trade NURS / UCITS regulatory compliance processes.
Where will you be working?
This role will be based in the Aurora Building, 1 of our 3 modern City Centre locations until our exciting new campus location overlooking the River Clyde at Buchanan Wharf is opened in 2020.
