Aker Solutions' corporate communications team, is responsible for promoting, strengthening and safeguarding the Aker Solutions reputation and brand and helping to build our internal culture.

We are looking for a Senior Communications Advisor to join this ambitious and talented team on an interim basis.

This role will serve as a key communications focal point for Aker Solutions in the UK, supporting the UK Leadership Team to grow the company's footprint in the region.

In addition, the role will be an extension of the corporate communications function, ensuring effective implementation of local and global communications initiatives in the UK.

Responsibilities and Tasks

  • Support development and implementation of communications strategies and activities for the UK to promote key business objectives and global communications goals
  • Through effective communications activities support local customer management center efforts to drive sales and enter new markets
  • Ensure that local marketing communications activities including events (including Offshore Europe), advertising and sponsorships are
  • delivered in line with the global communications strategy and in partnership with the corporate marketing communications team
  • Provide communications support to the country management team.
  • Ensure that local communications are in line with corporate messaging and brand guidelines
  • Help drive employee engagement and internal communications activities
  • Support the effective management of local media in Aberdeen
  • Firm grasp of oil and gas marketplace, competitive landscape and technology
  • Qualifications and Personal Qualities

  • Track record in successfully managing communication projects from planning through execution
  • Ability to identify and manage communications risks and opportunities
  • Experience in effectively managing external agencies and suppliers
  • Strategic and commercial mindset
