Duties & Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities

  • Responsible for meeting sales orders targets & budgets for the Eastern and North Eastern region of India for the mentioned states and product lines.
  • Manage the relationship with key customers across these markets to develop and win sales.
  • Responsible for developing new markets and customers across Eastern and North Eastern India as directed by senior management.
  • Responsible for maintaining and expanding our existing market positions.
  • Responsible for managing Product sales from lead, initiation, bid development, bid, contract, installation, acceptance and commercial billing to subsequent and follow on sales.
  • Manage sales through a combination of direct selling, demonstrations, exhibitions, & channel partners. This requires coordinating with other Sales Managers also and guide the sales support staff to help achieve those goals.
  • Provide forecasting and reporting on the Product pipeline of leads, opportunities and quotations in the sales territory.
  • Work with some central key accounts like AAI, Customs and Indian Ports Association to create extensive mind share for Smiths Detection and help the teams in generating business at central levels.

  • High level of initiative & desire to succeed. Self-starter and motivator.
  • Fast learner & ability to understand & sell technical products into unique and diverse operational environments. Must have the ability to create unique solutions for customers.
  • Track record of success in sales, including experience in bid preparation and tendering.
  • Track record of success in project & program selling.
  • Confident in speaking & presenting to customers in formal sales and marketing presentations.
  • Experience in selling to government agencies and private customers.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills in English.
  • Ability to travel extensively both domestically and internationally.
