Function : Project ManagementClosing Date : Liberty Charge are a Charge Point Operator, dedicated to working with Local Authorities (at County, Borough and Unitary levels) who wish to accelerate the deployment of EV charging solutions to meet their resident’s needs.

It is our belief that we can help revolutionise the on-street EV charging marketplace, in urban environments by delivering at scale and offering fully funded solutions.

    You’d be joining this exciting journey, at the start of our scale-up phase, so that we can hit the ambitious targets our shareholders have set.

    Given the nature of the business, you’ll need to be able to deal with ambiguity, a dynamic environment (as the EV charging value chain is constantly changing) and a fast pace where there is a real focus on results, achieved as a team.

    We are currently recruiting for a PMO Lead to join us on an initial 2 year Fixed Term Contract or secondment. This role will report to the COO and will be responsible for managing the end to end delivery view, ensuring all vendors deliver on time, orders for CP hardware are placed and managed and prepare and manage all supply chain budget / spend.

  • You will oversee and mentor a small but dedicated team which will grow as the business does. The PMO Lead will be responsible for the following : Supporting COO with reporting;
  • KPIs; Project Governance and Assurance; Project Planning; Project Controls; Project Cost Performance; Risk Management; Portfolio Reporting.

    Collaborating with other department leaders to define, prioritize, and develop projects; working seamlessly with individuals across all teams to develop the best approaches and solutionsLeading on the deployment of PMO processes that will ensure consistency and set performance standards.

    Ensuring our business is set up to deliver our growth plans, by identifying any bottlenecks now, so we can scale at pace.

  • Recommending solutions, to ensure contractual objectives are metLeading process improvement and cost reduction efforts to promote rapid continuous improvement;
  • developing systems and processes that create one source of the truth’Coordinating interdepartmental development of programme plansParticipating in the logistics of developing plans including budgets and schedules to meet contractual / project requirementsDetermining what tools, techniques and systems are required to support our growth plansAssisting in establishing and defining programme plan requirementsThe successful candidate will have the following : Track record in a similar role within PMO with solid understanding and some training in;
  • project management fundamentals and Project Management best practice.A Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification would be advantageousQualifications / training undertaken in any of the following;
  • Project Governance and Assurance; Project Planning; Project Controls; Project Cost Performance; Risk Management; Portfolio ReportingA self-starter who exhibits resilience, patience and understandingExcellent computer and literacy skills including Windows based software programmes Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, and others, likely to be an Excel Super User’Excellent at providing reporting that meets the various stakeholder groupsUnderstanding of mapping and evolving end to end processes to provide the best outcomes and a fast paced business.

    Experience in project plan creation and pipeline coordinationAble to manage a small team and work across a matrix organisation to achieve the desired resultsExperience in the preparation and management of financial budgets.
