An important responsibility of our Specialty Technician Supervisor is participating in the hiring, training, coaching and performance evaluation in our specialty departments.

This supervisory position would oversee the following specialty services in pain medicine, avian and exotic medicine, cardiology, dermatology, general medicine, internal medicine, neurology and neurosurgery, internal medicine, medical and radiation oncology, and ophthalmology

Other supervisory duties include; creating work schedules, preparation of payroll, and the processing of personnel records.

At Angell our supervisors assist our clinicians providing high quality nursing care to our patients and offer instruction and demonstration to veterinary students, interns, residents, and other technicians.

In this vital leadership role we are seeking applicants who show strong ability in interpersonal and decision making skills, who have a collaborative personality and love teaching in a positive, patient and dynamic manner.

Ability to be flexible in regards to scheduling is a must

Requirements Education :

  • Bachelor’s or Associate’s Degree from accredited Vet Technician program.
  • Applicants must be a Certified Veterinary Technician to be considered for this position.
  • Experience :

  • Minimum 3-5 years veterinary technician experience
  • Previous Supervisory and customer service experience
  • Experience with interviewing, scheduling, training, payroll and inventory is preferred
  • Work experience in a fast paced, multi-veterinary referral hospital or teaching hospital is a plus!
