Job Description :

  • The Renewable Energy & Project Finance Credit Officer will be tasked with helping clients achieve their overall strategy through the innovative use of various funding alternatives;
  • possess and share with the client and other members of the client team expert knowledge of project finance and the products and services associated therewith.

    The Renewable Energy & Project Finance Credit Officer will also interact regularly with clients in an effort to proactively understand their goals, their current performance, and their needs.

    The LCOII uses this client knowledge to assess the appropriateness of existing solutions and to propose optimal project financing alternatives or additional financing solutions.

    Directly accountable for assisting with the underwriting process as it pertains to credit quality and the approval process through their interaction with senior Risk Management Officers and Product Delivery Managers.

    Also accountable for the documentation of transactions as a principal member of the transaction team. One of the client team members responsible for interacting with financing product specialists for Renewable Energy & Project Finance.

    The position / qualifications as described are as a LCOII, but is flexible to be filled as an LCOI based on the skill set / experience of the candidate.

    Required Education :

  • Undergraduate degree required preferably in engineering, finance, accounting or related areas; MBA preferred
  • Prior Work Experience : 2-7 years’ experience in commercial banking having had exposure to credit and underwriting or having worked on project financing having had experience with credit & underwriting processes.

    Experience preferred, project-oriented energy financings. Renewable energy experience a plus.

    Required Skills & Development Expectations

  • Exposure to underwriting, analysis, and structuring of creditproject-oriented financings and / or renewable energy financing
  • Strong credit and risk analysis skills
  • Must be able to analyze, interpret, and assist with negotiating third party documentation
  • Credit underwriting experience as part of project financing is a plus
