RSM Employer Services delivers back office services and software only solutions to clients, via Internet technology. The company both develops and supports its own applications as well as implementing other solutions.

Overall Purpose

To take responsibility for the operation and profitability of their team’s client portfolio - reporting directly to payroll office leader.

Providing a point of escalation for technical and commercial issues encountered within their team. The key responsibility will be to ensure the accurate and timely HR, Payroll and Pension administration services for various clients in accordance with statutory regulations.

A key feature of the role will be to supervise and effectively manage their team to ensure our clients receive a quality service in all respects.

This is a pivotal role and we would expect the post holder to make a positive contribution towards the overall future development and success of the team / office.


  • Ensure Payroll deadlines and service requirements are met for the team’s portfolio of clients
  • Ensuring the team’s compliance with internal policies and procedures
  • Accountability for your team’s output to clients
  • Monitoring team’s KPIs and profitability
  • Keeping your knowledge of statutory and legislative regulations, including workplace pensions, up to date
  • Promote client care and cascade this to the wider team
  • Provide guidance and support to all team members and other teams / offices as required
  • Internal BACS procedures and client payment requirements
  • Review and approval of all new AE Pension set-ups
  • RSM financial systems to review and monitor client recoveries
  • Review team performance and setting clear objectives, which are to be monitored on a monthly basis

  • Previous experience of staff supervision
  • Professional payroll qualifications
  • Dealing with a high volume of clients
  • GCSE Maths & English (Grade C & above) or equivalent
