Job title : Senior Business Analyst, Retail Analytics
Hotels.com & Expedia Group is looking for a candidate with a strong analytical and business background to join the Acquisition Marketing Analytics team.
This role will have analytical ownership of high-visibility initiatives, partnering with the Acquisition Marketing teams to understand how customers interact with Google, Trivago and other PPC style marketing partners and produce insights to optimize customer acquisition.
Deliver cutting-edge marketing analytics projects across regions and channels, providing data-driven decision support to Acquisition Marketing leadership, as well as regional marketing teams.
Become an expert in marketing and customer data, developing our understanding of the role of Acquisition Marketing channels in new customer acquisition, and the impact of marketing activities on customer behaviour.
Assist with the set-up and measurement of testing programmes designed to understand the return on investment from marketing activities across channels, and make recommendations for customer targeting, and optimization of spend across channels.
Collaborate with other functional teams e.g. Finance and Product, to understand the impact of analysis across multiple groups within the business, as well as working closely with other members of the Analytics team, to share expertise and best practice.
Bachelor’s degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Economics or similar
Experience in an advanced analytics role in an internship and industry environment
Experience of using R and Matlab for data analysis
Experienced in applying modelling techniques such as liner / logistic regressions and clustering method.
Statistical modelling as well as structuring, transforming and visualizing big data
Strong SQL skills. Experience with BigQuery or similar
Superuser / Trainer level experience in using Tableau
Ability to understand industry drivers with exposure to both consultancy client work and large brand
Ability to communicate complicated analytical solutions and their business value clearly to a diverse group of stakeholders, one-
to-one, in presentations and over email
Focus, resilience and great at problem-solving. Able to find solutions and work towards goals when setbacks occur
Bi-lingual in an APAC language
Able to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously, prioritise effectively and own deliverables end to end
Excellent academic history of A A’s at A level or similar
Desirable : Experience in Search Engine Marketing or other PPC style marketing partners
Desirable : Experience with Web Reporting Tools such as Omniture or Google Analytics
