Responsibilities

Lead and develop the HYPEBEAST news editorial team by implementing news curation and output strategies to efficiently reach monthly traffic targets

Manage an editorial calendar, while overseeing and proofreading news from a team of editors based around the world

Produce daily content and news, ensuring the direction is in alignment with the HYPEBEAST brand

Develop tactics, plans, partnerships, tools that help achieve the business goals

Adapt at sourcing news stories that are trending within HYPEBEAST’s scope of coverage

Assist in communication with internal editorial leads and teams on priorities and best practices

Identify emerging subcultures and new communities that HYPEBEAST can grow into, in order to expand our audience reach and strategize growth

Execute website publishing strategies while ensuring all posts are accurate, punctual, efficient, safe and on brand

Report on campaigns and augment based on analysis to ensure the most effective approach

Work closely with HYPEBEAST HQ in Hong Kong to ensure editorial alignment

Requirements

Minimum 5 years of website, publishing, editorial content creation and distribution required (brand or agency)

Proficient in Wordpress and Google Analytics; Basic in Photoshop

Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Passion, energy, and enthusiasm for editorial content, with knowledge of HYPEBEAST content at a local and international level

Self-determined, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment

Excellent communication, collaboration, and planning skills with meticulous attention to detail

Possess a high level of creativity and out of the box thinking

Team Player with the ability to work with different personalities to optimize editorial quality

Proven experience in developing and executing successful editorial marketing strategies that are native to individual channels and demonstrate tangible ROI

The candidate is at the cutting edge of the cultural zeitgeist; understanding internet, social and youth culture and how to credibly and sensitively work within it whilst maintaining brand integrity

Flexibility to work nights and weekends

Deep ability to collect, analyze and use website data to affect change
