The Sr. HR Manager is responsible for the development, direction, planning and execution of human resources initiatives that enable the organization to meet its business objectives.
Partners with business leaders to execute business objectives associated with the strategic plan. Specifically, directs talent acquisition, organizational development, compensation, diversity, equity & inclusion, performance management, engagement and labor relations that results in improved organizational agility and effectiveness.
Works as a strategic business partner with leadership and other significant stakeholders with a primary focus on Talent & Culture initiatives.
The HR Business Partner will also partner with the Power Group HR team and HR COE’s to communicate, coordinate, and deliver enterprise HR initiatives and HR Change the Work (CTW) solutions.
Develops and executes Human Resources strategies to ensure that current and future strategic business initiatives are not restricted by limits in human capital and executive capabilities.
Proactively drives activities and behaviors that are consistent with the organizational changes. Demonstrate strong communication capabilities leveraging various media.
Develops strong relationships with leaders and associates by spending time in person with onsite teams, and virtually with hybrid / remote and global teams to build and nurture culture outside of brick and mortar.
Concentrates on the development of retention, succession, and development of talent with the organization and Kohler Company.
Aligns with organization to facilitate identification of critical skills and executes cost effective and timely development plans that result in improved organizational bench strength.
Coaches associates on performance, career pathing, development plans, and corrective actions.
Leads talent attraction activities and partners with regional HR teams to educate global leaders on recruitment requirements for America’s region.
Effectively runs executive searches and has knowledge of variable compensation program designs. Partners with the business to establish hiring profiles and parameters and effective workforce planning tools.
Deploys all resources necessary to attract, develop, and retain the best talent and achieve diversity improvement goals.
Leverages Talent Center of Expertise resources and partnership to embed Leading Boldly and other Kohler L&D initiatives in business culture.
Working with Labor Relations, assists in the development of strategies and solutions to labor issues within the business unit.
Resolves employee relation issues. Responsible for all necessary regulatory compliance and risk management issues in accordance with geographic regulations.
Participates as a valued member of HR leadership teams to develop and execute Human Resource strategies and actions to support the HR Strategic plan, embed new HR Operating Model and drive HR CTW (change the work) solutions.
Leverage data through Visier (HR data analytic system) and other tools or dashboards to understand, communicate and proactively handle issues such as turnover, organizational design, diversity, equity in merit allocation and similar key indicators to inform talent strategies.
Skills / Requirements
Bachelor’s degree required, preference to those with major in Human Resources or direct experience.
Minimum of 5 years’ experience in Human Resources.
Organizational design and development skills preferred.
S / PHR certification or other advanced certification desirable.
