    We are now seeking a Developer to join our Research Technology Enrichment team. The successful candidate will be involved in helping develop new technologies that are being used to enrich Elsevier content, improving discoverability, extracting new datasets and improving content utility.

    In this role, you will be working with a combination of high quality software engineers plus experts in data science and machine learning, to deliver high quality workflows and capabilities for content enrichment.

    You will be part of one of the company’s key technology functions, playing a pivotal role in designing and delivering tomorrow's information solutions for the scientific community.

  • Agile Development; a strong understanding of agile practices ideally SCRUM.
  • Java web application development with Spring or other related technologies.
  • Strong research skills.
  • Strong knowledge in industry best practices in development.
  • Restful API’s
  • Experience of Test-Driven Development / Unit Testing.
  • Continuous Integration and Delivery with Jenkins or similar tooling.
  • Understanding of code quality and associated tooling such as SonarQube.
  • Experience with Git.
  • Pair Programming (Social skills)
