Key job responsibilities
The EU Marketing & Prime organization is looking for a full-time Social Media Strategist based in London. You will be joining our EU XCM (Cross-Channel, Cross-Country Marketing) Media team, who obsesses in building the Amazon brand through measurably effective, impactful, cross-channel campaigning.
The Social Media Strategist will support this mission by helping partner comms planning teams deliver their annual and campaign strategies.
A day in the life
Developing clear well-defined top-down social advertising strategy, that are part of a larger account / initiative and that impact the advertiser’s experience.
Working in an often ambiguous and unknown environment, able to take action on unknown variables
Communicating effectively and driving detailed business discussions and alignment with key stakeholders.
Making an impact on the advertiser experience with campaigns and recommending improvements to campaign workflows.
Recommending improvements to team processes.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
You have 5+ years of experience working with external partners / agencies on paid social media and digital media campaigns
You have multiple years of experience working across global social media strategy, across a mix of FMCG or Retail focused accounts or Lines of Business
You have experience in coaching / mentoring junior-level executive talent
Possess a deep strategic knowledge of 3rd and 1st party social media use for channel deployment
Proven track record of delivering high quality social media campaign strategy in very dynamic environments a focus on brand and upper funnel strategy is vital
Excellent understanding and knowledge of social media : platform use (existing and new), audience understanding, targeting capabilities
Possess strong quantitative and analytical skills including working with budgets and numbers
Have advanced proficiency in Excel and Word
Hold a Bachelors degree or equivalent
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Media agency experience or in-house agency experience
Are self-motivated and flexible in dynamic working environments
Intense bias for action in a fast-paced, sometimes ambiguous environment
Outstanding oral, written, and presentation skills
Experience in advertising operations or media planning
Understanding of creative development process and media planning
Good knowledge of working with influencer focused creative
Are highly detail-oriented, have excellent organizational skills, and ability to multi-task
