A fantastic opportunity to join a high profile healthcare charity as their Media, PR & Campaigns Manager for a 10 month maternity cover contract (this could be extended to 12 months).
Reporting into the Head of Media, PR & Campaigns you will manage a team of 3 and a PR agency.
As the Media, PR & Campaigns Manager you will lead specifically on developing PR and campaigns to support the charity’s Caring Services and campaigning work.
You will develop and implement media & PR activity to target supporters, patients and carers, influencers and healthcare professionals.
Your aim is to secure positive, consistent and meaningful media coverage to raise awareness of the charity’s work.
This is a key role covering delivery of strategically relevant media coverage (online and offline) and news management.
You will be a key influencer within the charity and will be liaising directly with the Chief Executive and Executive Board.
You will act as a guardian for the reputation of the charity, identifying potential risks, co-ordinating and managing the PR responses for issues.
You will work with the Head of Media, PR & Campaigns to develop and implement the charity’s Social Media Strategy and to support all its activity through its digital channels.
You will develop and manage effective relationships with the charity’s Ambassadors healthcare professionals through to celebrities.
