Communications Lead (Sanofi Genzyme)
About the Opportunity
As a Communications Lead for Sanofi Genzyme you will be responsible for leading the development and management of communications programmes to support priorities of Sanofi Genzyme, Sanofi’s specialty care global business unit, and providing communications counsel to marketing and medical colleagues.
Additional responsibilities include leading external and internal communications programming to support Sanofi UK & Ireland (UKIE) business needs as directed by the Head of Communications.
The role, supported by specialist communications agencies, and working closely with the relevant brand teams, is accountable for leading the development of effective communications strategy and initiatives that will generate impact for the business unit’s key therapy / product areas.
Building on opportunities : to enhance the position of core / commercial brands, to shape and secure the potential of products within the portfolio;
whilst developing and protecting the interests, and reputation of Sanofi brands and therapy areas in the UK and Ireland.
Leads development and execution of integrated (earned, shared, owned and paid channels) and highly measurable communications programming based on research and analytics
Builds & maintains Sanofi reputation externally
Contribute to corporate reputation, executive visibility and internal communications programs
Serve as a strategic communications advisor to Sanofi Genzyme’s UKIE leadership
To excel in this role you will need to have :
First degree in relevant discipline
Demonstrated experience managing issues communications and regulatory milestones
Significant experience in developing and implementing effective, high-profile and measurable brand communications strategies that cross all channels (earned, social, shared, owned, paid), ideally in a healthcare setting
Understanding of the current media landscape - digital communications strategies, implementation and measurement (e.g.
social media, owned, shared, paid, content strategy) and how to best integrate them into communications programming to drive measurable results.
Demonstrated expertise in developing and leading such initiatives from research and social listening phases through programme development and execution
Significant experience in simultaneously managing high-profile, complex issues and crisis situations, ideally within a healthcare setting
Ability to rapidly and effectively assimilate to a fast and changing communications environment
Excellent communication & writing skills
Demonstrated ability to engage and influence senior internal and external stakeholders
Experience of developing and implementing strategic customer projects
Strong communications agency management experience; ability to lead / drive strategically & operationally best in class, measurable communications programming that drives business results.
Project management skills and experience of working across functional and organisational boundaries within a highly matrixed organisation
Understanding of UK NHS and current healthcare policy and future drivers of change
Ability to provide strategic communications counsel throughout Sanofi UK & Ireland, including senior executives
Understanding of how to develop and execute innovative, measurable communications programming within ABPI Code and UK healthcare environment.
Significant experience and understanding of communications research and measurement, including social listening and analytics
Passes and keeps any assessments relating to the ABPI code of practice up to date
