An incredible opportunity has arisen for a Helpline lead for Migraines within our thriving Homecare Company Alcura, founded in 1994 and re-branded Alcura in 2013.

Alcura has secured its position within the Homecare market over a number of years and is continuing to grow year upon year.

We have an exciting opportunity available to join our Commercial Team at Alcura. Whilst enjoying a great working environment, you will be managing the day-to-day helpline supporting both healthcare professionals and patients on queries related to their therapy at our Northampton site.

We need a team member who can have an instrumental impact and who has the desire to strive and realise their potential as part of our Commercial team.

The candidate must have the knowledge and desire to work across the NHS Homecare, Wholesale and Pharmaceutical areas and preferable a background in nursing or pharmacy.

The candidate must have the ability to grasp the detail of our business and also a sound understanding of the service levels required by our pharmaceutical customer in the contracts we are supplying to the NHS on their behalf.

Cross-functional communication skills are imperative and having the ability of working independently as well as with internal and external stakeholders is crucial.

You will work with a team of talented, dedicated and supportive individuals and be given the necessary mentoring to develop knowledge and skills by the Client Relationship Manger who you will directly report into.

About You

Having self-motivation, a flexible approach to work and the desire to developing oneself is key to succeeding within this role.

Within this the ability to communicate effectively at all levels, both verbal and written, is important. This role will require communication with key account stakeholders and NHS patients therefore the ability to speak to a range of individuals confidently is essential.

Previous experience that brings a level of understanding of the NHS at a primary or secondary care level and an understanding of Homecare / Wholesale / Pharma services is advantageous but not essential.

  • Educated to minimum of A-Level or equivalent experience
  • Nursing or Pharmacy qualification is desirable(Min technician or equivalent)
  • Strong organisational skills, with the ability to plan and prioritise a varied workload, managing and balancing the needs of numerous tasks.
  • Ability to understand data, identify trends / issues and present these to team members.
  • Highly developed influencing skills, with the ability to sell the vision at all levels.
  • Confident with Microsoft Office and Windows Operating Systems.
