The Digital Learning Team provides Digital Learning materials, including multimedia, to our colleagues for compliance training, to support personal and professional development and for training, promotion and information.

The role

As a Video Editor in the Digital Learning Team, you will be responsible for liaising with internal clients to determine their requirements and provide guidance and advice on best practice to achieve the best outcome.

You will be responsible for editing and producing video, audio or other media content in formats compatible with our systems and delivery needs.

Main responsibilities

This may include, but not be limited to the following :

  • Understand and identify requirements of the client;
  • Edit video / audio / media content;
  • Ensure content is on brand and of consistent quality;
  • Provide support and guidance on our media functions to our internal clients,
  • Travel to other offices to record / assist when necessary;
  • Liaise with the other L&D teams and with other teams across the business to help raise awareness and improve our profile.
  • The role requires interaction with key stakeholders and employees within Shoosmiths, and possibly with external clients, therefore excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, will be essential.

    Essential knowledge and skills :

  • Ability to understand a brief, identify requirements and advise on best actions;
  • Excellent organisation skills with strong attention to detail;
  • Ability to deliver to deadlines;
  • Ability to work under pressure whilst maintaining high quality, accurate output;
  • Ability to deal with ambiguity in a fast paced environment;
  • Be creative and adaptable with a flexible approach;
  • Excellent English language and grammar skills;
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills;
  • Desirable knowledge and skills :

  • Knowledge / experience of video editing software such as Camtasia, Premiere Pro;
  • Experience of using Adobe Photoshop or similar;
  • Experience of Adobe Creative Suite;
  • Training can be provided.
