The Security Information Assurance lead plays a key role in supporting the business to deliver and management all activities relating to government activities and includes Pre (Bid) and In-life support activities to ensure we meet and maintain the service security requirements.

Job Description

The Security Information Assurance lead plays a key role in supporting the business to deliver and management all activities relating to government activities and includes Pre (Bid) and In-life support activities to ensure we meet and maintain the service security requirements.

The key responsibilities of the role are :

Security Responsibilities :

Represent Motorola Solutions UK Limited (MSUKL) as the named Information Asset Owner (IAO) Accountable to the MSL Senior Responsible Officer (SRO).

Provide regular briefings, updates and escalation issues to the SRO.Act as the named HMG Customer Point of Contact for all Information Assurance (IA) matters.

Act as the responsible named Authorized Crypto Custodian accountable to the SRO. To ensure HMG Governance Policy is adhered to at all times.

To support HMG and forensic investigations.To ensure governance and corporate integrity during security incidents and events.

To work with Key Customers to mitigate security risks and liaise with HMG to achieve positive outcomes for MSL through security policies and procedures.

Security Control Management :

Manage and support the MSL Government Security Controller role; responsible for day to day Security Controller activities, such as vetting, clearances, document management and handling, storage, transit and disposal of protectively marked material.

Security Governance and Policy Maintenance :

Ensure HMG Governance Policy is linked to MSI iProtect through ESIAP.Update and maintain ESIAP in line with HMG and iProtect Policy.

Update ESIAP training material and delivery methods

Security Accreditations :

Safeguard MSL accreditation status by collaborating with key UK Government contacts.Drive and own Services achieving ISO27001 Implementation, Compliance, Certification and subsequent annual audit reviews.

Own and maintain our Cyber Essentials Scheme (CES) implementation, Compliance, Certification and subsequent annual audit reviews.

Drive and own the uplift to Cyber Essential PlusMaintain an awareness of forthcoming IA related legislation and policies.

Presales and Business Development :

Provide presales support with respect to security aspectsSupport Business Development with UK HMG Agencies

Basic Requirements

Specific knowledge and skills Required :

5-10 years of experience with UK HMG Security and Information Assurance. Be self-motivated, have a strong work ethic, be flexible to work needs and be a good communicator at all levels of Motorola, Customer and HMG Domains.

Excellent English written and spoken language skill is required, capable of writing both detailed user friendly policy and procedural documentation.

Strong IT skills, to be able to produce concise, factual and detailed high quality reports. Good at describing and presenting concepts at all levels in formal meetings.

Have and in depth understanding of security vetting and assess issues by practical and evidenced application of knowledge gained.

Show an understanding of the motivations and vulnerabilities of persons who may infringe security policies / procedures and have an understanding of the threats to the organisations security and integrity.

Able to identify issues for further illumination and validation, they know where and how to obtain the relevant information to expeditiously conclude the investigation.

To provide the grounds to assess the perceived impact and make detailed well evidenced recommendations to senior management, based upon the options available.

Essential Requirements :

Working knowledge of Security Policy Framework, MOD JSP 440 and ISO 27001.Confident and effective in articulating in all communications.

Previous experience within the Security Officer / Controller Role.

Desirable Requirements :

Knowledge of Information Assurance Technologies and Methodologies. CISSP, CISM, CISA or equivalent certification. Well organisedAble to take initiative and drive topics and solutions
