We now have an exciting opportunity to join one of the South West's leading employers as a Pre-Development Lead to join our team in Exeter.
What will you be doing?
As a Pre-Development Lead, you will lead the Developer Services Pre-Development across the South West Water supply area, both clean and waste.
You’ll be responsible for the Pre-Development team in SWW to ensure planning applications are handled, designed and managed within the statutory, regulatory and financial frameworks.
You’ll manage and report on appropriate performance of the team and individuals to ensure a high performing department that can demonstrate value for money on projects.
The Pre-Development Lead will act as the principal point of escalation within this function, resolving more complex planning issues when necessary.
Additionally, you will manage stakeholder relations, representing South West Water at meetings with external parties, ensuring effective resolution of any issues and protecting the interests of the business at all times.
You’ll liaise with other functions on matters related to our ability to supply new developments.
This is a pivotal and challenging role which requires the job holder to have a proven track record of effectively managing a small team as well as relationships with stakeholders, whilst balancing the needs to effectively deliver all services associated with activities in providing Pre- Development advice within Developer Services.
