The Finance team ensures our people are sticking to budgets, paying bills on time and planning for the future. The key areas of focus are profit protection, process and governance, risk management and corporate governance.
What is the role?
The Auditor position is responsible for working closely different business units to complete audit assignments of risk areas.
Providing impartial assurance over the adequacy of processes and governance that ensure that income / profit is maximised and protected, in line with contractual and regulatory requirements.
As an Auditor you will frequently engage senior leaders to provide assurance.
What will you do?
Undertaking audit assignments (detailed within the annual plan approved by the Board / Audit Committee and ad-hoc) from inception through to reporting the results to line management.
Building credible rapport with stakeholders, documenting processes and systems, designing and carrying out audit tests and agreeing actions and reporting results.
Ensuring assignments align with customer focus, Gatwick strategy and values.
Monitoring the effectiveness and adequacy of internal governance.
Driving change and improvement in processes, systems and procedures through clear presentation of audit findings.
Following up the status of agreed actions (including escalating overdue actions to Senior Management / Departmental Directors) and obtaining business feedback on performance to drive continuous improvement.
Using knowledge and experience to provide business insight regarding the audit environment to Senior Management / Departmental Directors.
Delivering quality written reporting of audits and presenting audit findings to Senior Management / Departmental Directors

Qualifications
Professional Finance qualification (or qualification by experience), with experience in a commercial environment
Experience of undertaking complex internal audits with multiple stakeholders
Experience of Finance, Contract or IT audits an advantage
IT skills including Excel, Word and Powerpoint
Understanding of finance systems such as SAP beneficial.
