Business Administration Assessor

Stirling Office, with travel across Scotland (Working from Home currently)

  • We are looking for a highly motivated individual to join our Business Administration assessment team. No assessing experience necessary;
  • we will provide support, training and guidance for you to become a qualified Business Administration Assessor / Training Consultant.

    What will you do :

  • GP Strategies Ltd is an established and market leading training provider, is looking for an SVQ Assessor to nurture and support learners on our innovative Business Administration Modern Apprenticeship programmes.
  • As an Assessor you will play an integral part in developing the next generation of talent, helping learners across Scotland successfully reach their course requirements.
  • This role requires attendance at our Stirling Head Office to attend mandatory meetings but offers the option to also work from home.
  • We support candidates throughout Scotland so travel is a requirement of the role.
  • We also utilise an e-portfolio system with our candidates to keep up-to-date with learner progression.
  • While being a qualified assessor may be advantageous, it is not essential as full training will be provided.
  • You will also be involved in the delivery of our employability programmes which will involve the stand up delivery of soft skill training and SVQ unit delivery.
  • Responsibilities :

  • Assess learners within the work place against the recognised SQA standards for Business Administration levels 2 and 3
  • Effectively manage your own learner caseload - working with learners and employers across Scotland
  • Mentor and support learners with the development of their skills and technical competencies
  • Set individual targets for each learner based on capability to ensure KPIs are met
  • Monitor learners’ progress throughout their apprenticeship, overcoming any challenges so they achieve their qualification in a timely manner
  • Manage your diary efficiently, with regular contact and on-site visits with learners
  • Regular travel is required to customer premises, although some of the work with your learners is done remotely using our e-portfolio to keep up to date with learner progression
  • Do you have :

  • Occupational experience within a Business environment
  • Highly proficient in the use of Microsoft Office Applications and Bespoke systems
  • Highly organised with a good approach to managing day to day administration responsibilities
  • Effective time management due to high volume caseloads
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Experience of working within a target driven environment and to tight deadlines
  • Recognised Assessor award would be a distinct advantage, although not essential as support will be provided
  • Due to the nature of the role, you must have a UK full driving licence and access to a vehicle
